Skin Cancer Awareness

All of our patients minimally receive yearly examinations for skin cancer. We excise and biopsy any suspicious skin growths (moles) found during the examination, or additional lesions you are concerned about.

Please be sure to make an appointment at least once a year for a complete skin cancer evaluation. This can be completed at your yearly physical examination. 

Take simple steps to protect your skin:

• Stay out of the sun as much as possible between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher. Put on sunscreen every 2 hours and after you swim or sweat.
• Cover up with long sleeves and a hat.
• Check your skin regularly for changes.
